    Intern, Events & Membership

    As a member of the industry services team, the events and membership intern will support and assist in the day-to-day activities of the department. This position reports to the director, events and collaborates across the AGA to assist in overall membership and event support.

    Internship Details:

    • Summer/Fall 2024
    • Paid position 20 hours/week
    • Hybrid work environment (Required Tuesdays and Thursdays in our Washington, D.C. office)

    Key Areas of Responsibility

    • Assist in overall membership and events strategy for October 2024 Global Gaming Expo.
    • Attend weekly membership and events meetings.
    • Review and proofread event marketing materials for Global Gaming Expo.
    • Develop PowerPoint presentations for staff.
    • Work with Senior Manager Events and Director, Events on transportation, supply orders and other tasks for Global Gaming Expo.
    • Assist Senior Manager, Membership on updating Nimble AMS database and other membership collateral.
    • Other events and membership duties as assigned.

    Experience, Education

    • Rising junior, senior or graduate student at an accredited college or university.
    • Self-starter who can work independently, complete projects with little supervision, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Prior intern experience in an office environment.

    Skills

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Cvent, AMS or other database knowledge preferred but not required.
    • Basic understanding of trade associations and the events industry.
