Washington – American Gaming Association’s (AGA) President and CEO Geoff Freeman issued the following statement applauding the efforts of State Senator Danté Bartolomeo (D-Meriden) to ban unregulated gambling taking place at Internet sweepstakes cafes in Connecticut: 

“AGA and its members appreciate the swift action of lawmakers like Senator Bartolomeo to squash unlawful behavior that preys upon vulnerable consumers.

“Regulated gaming companies partner with states to protect citizens, ensure the integrity of games and drive needed tax revenues.  We look forward to working with policymakers to eliminate unregulated gaming operations.”
