Gaming Industry Recognized at White House Event for Welfare-to-work Programs

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The gaming industry was recognized for its outstanding achievements in getting people off welfare and into the workforce during a White House ceremony today to announce the formation of The Welfare to Work Partnership, a not-for profit organization created to encourage corporate social responsibility.

Casino Entertainment Industry Mobilizes in Preparation for First Annual "Responsible Gaming Education Week"

WASHINGTON, D.C. — More than 200,000 employees in 26 states, along with many state councils on problem gambling and public officials, are mobilizing their efforts to raise awareness of the importance of responsible gaming practices during the casino entertainment industry’s first annual “Responsible Gaming Education Week.”

Casino Entertainment Industry Marks "Responsible Gaming Education Week" With Employee Education Activities Nationwide

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Casino properties and gaming equipment manufacturers from New Jersey to the Mississippi Gulf Coast to Nevada kicked off the casino entertainment industry’s first annual “Responsible Gaming Education Week” today with employee education activities designed to raise awareness about problem gambling and the importance of responsible gaming practices.

Gaming Industry Honored by United Way for Charitable Giving

Washington, D.C. — Twenty-five United Way organizations from around the country honored the gaming industry today at a Capitol Hill luncheon. The gaming industry is the first industry to be recognized by local United Way organizations for its generous philanthropy.

LAS VEGAS—Hundreds of casino employees, treatment providers, regulators, state health experts and lottery officials gathered today at more than 15 sites nationwide to watch a live satellite broadcast and Webcast on responsible gaming and problem gambling. AGA's Fourth Annual Responsible Gaming Education Week Sparks Activities Nationwide

WASHINGTON - A video based on a curriculum developed by Harvard Medical School’s Division on Addictions focusing on probability in gambling and everyday life is the centerpiece of events taking place nationwide Aug. 6-10 during the American Gaming Association’s fourth annual Responsible Gaming Education Week. Part of the AGA’s Responsible Gaming National Education Campaign, Responsible Gaming Education Week is held every year during the first week of August to promote responsible gaming and increase awareness of disordered gambling.
