Brian Cohen is the Senior Director of Strategic Alliances for the American Gaming Association (AGA). He manages the AGA’s Security and Surveillance Working Group, leads all outreach with law enforcement, and is responsible for enhancing the association’s partnerships across other industries and third parties to support advocacy and public affairs efforts. In addition, he leads the strategy and execution for the association’s “Stop Illegal Gambling – Play it Safe” initiative.
Cohen has more than a decade of experience in government relations, public safety, coalition building and political operations. Prior to working at the AGA, he was the Director of External State Government Relations for the Motion Picture Association of America. In addition, he served as the Associate Director for Intergovernmental & Public Liaison at the U.S. Department of Justice, senior liaison for the U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement, a consultant to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and has worked on two presidential campaigns.
He recently published an article titled “High Stakes” in the April 2015 edition of Security Management magazine published by ASIS International.
Cohen earned his B.A. from Hamilton College and resides in Arlington, VA.
