CBS Las Vegas: AGA has collected nearly 10,000 signatures against proposed IRS reporting rule

The IRS requires reporting on a single jackpot win that's $1200 or more for federal income tax purposes. The IRS has toyed with the idea of cutting that threshold in half to $600 and is asking for public comment. A hearing on the topic will take place in Washington DC in two weeks. The American Gaming Association is against the changes and says it has collected nearly 10,000 signatures from opponents.
