Responsible Gaming: A Year-Round Commitment

Responsible Gaming Education Week provides an opportunity to showcase the industry's year-round dedication to responsible gaming programs and is an important part of the industry's steadfast commitment to promoting responsible gaming. 

The gaming industry’s ongoing responsible gaming initiatives include research into effective treatment and prevention methods, the development and distribution of educational materials and extensive employee training. 

The AGA-developed materials can assist with increasing education and awareness of the important issue of responsible gaming. Additional collateral is available in English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese and Spanish. Order online now (AGA member? RGEW Member Spotlight: IGT

IGT recognized the American Gaming Association’s (AGA) Responsible Gaming Education Week (RGEW), through education for its global workforce and by reminding its employees who live and work in 100 countries around the world to participate in this annual observance such an important issue.

IGT created a series of internal communications to raise the awareness on the subject. For example, the Company used Yammer, its internal social media channel, to reinforce responsible gaming tips such as how to set spending limits, sticking to a budget, and the importance of understanding probability in gaming.

IGT’s responsible gaming initiatives have established the Company as a pioneering force worldwide in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitments. The Company uses social media such as Facebook and Twitter to further focus on its annual Sustainability Report, which outlines its responsible gaming programs in addition to social, environmental, and economic responsibilities.
