Washington, D.C.—One of the industry’s premier executives and a Las Vegas entertainment legend will be inducted this year into the Gaming Hall of Fame, while a company that is a pioneer in responsible gaming and an individual who brought the casino industry into the mainstream business world will be honored with special achievement awards.

LAS VEGAS - Two legends of the gaming-entertainment industry will be inducted this week into the Gaming Hall of Fame, while two other industry leaders will receive special recognition for their roles in responsible gaming and innovation.

WASHINGTON - U.S. Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) will receive the Industry Leadership Award at the first annual American Gaming Association (AGA) Awards Dinner Honoring America’s Gaming Greats. Singer/songwriter Paul Anka will receive the Entertainment Award, and two casino companies - Boyd Gaming Corporation and Park Place Entertainment Corporation - will receive special recognition for their role in promoting responsible gaming.

Two casino companies - Boyd Gaming Corporation and Park Place Entertainment Corporation - will receive special recognition for leadership in promoting responsible gaming.

The event, part of Global Gaming Expo, the AGA’s international trade show and conference that debuted today at the Las Vegas Convention Center, will benefit the National Center for Responsible Gaming (NCRG).

WASHINGTON - American icon Merv Griffin will be inducted into the American Gaming Association’s (AGA) Gaming Hall of Fame and will receive a lifetime achievement award for his commitment to entertainment and gaming.

LAS VEGAS - Legendary entertainer and gaming entrepreneur Merv Griffin was honored with a lifetime achievement award for gaming and entertainment and inducted into the Gaming Hall of Fame at the American Gaming Association’s (AGA) second annual America’s Gaming Greats awards dinner Wednesday night. 

Gaming pioneer Shannon Bybee, executive director of the UNLV International Gaming Institute and a former gaming executive and industry regulator, was also honored with a special achievement award for responsible gaming. 

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J.—A gaming industry executive who presided over the growth of a company from a handful of Nevada casinos to a nationally recognized brand while also providing leadership in responsible gaming as well as an entertainment icon who has sung nearly every form of popular music during his 40-year career in the music industry will be inducted this year into the Gaming Hall of Fame.

WASHINGTON—A second-generation casino pioneer, a comedic legend whose performances have been entertaining casino-showroom audiences for more than 45 years, and a noted Las Vegas casino executive and developer will be inducted this year into the Gaming Hall of Fame.
