AGA Programs Raise More Than $288,000 for NCRG

WASHINGTON—More than $288,000 will be donated to the National Center for Responsible Gaming (NCRG) this fall as a result of a trio of programs spearheaded by the American Gaming Association (AGA). Netting the largest donation of the three, the 17th annual Gaming Hall of Fame Charity Dinner and Induction Ceremony, held Sept. 15 at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, raised nearly $150,000 in support of the NCRG’s responsible gaming outreach initiatives.

AGA Releases White Paper on Impact of Responsible Gaming Programs

WASHINGTON— The American Gaming Association (AGA) today released the third white paper in its 10th Anniversary Research Series, focusing on the impact of the industry’s collaborative responsible gaming initiatives as seen through the eyes of prominent figures throughout the gaming industry and scientific research and treatment communities.

Gaming Industry Katrina Relief Fund Raises More Than $675,000 for Gulf Coast Gaming Employees

WASHINGTON— The American Gaming Association (AGA) today announced it has raised more than $675,000 for its Gaming Industry Katrina Relief Fund through generous donations from gaming operator and supplier companies, individual donations and contributions given during Global Gaming Expo (G2E), the industry’s annual tradeshow and conference.

JCM/AGA Golf Classic Raises $75,000 for Gambling Research

WASHINGTON – This year’s JCM/AGA Golf Classic, an annual gaming industry fundraising event, raised $75,000 for the National Center for Responsible Gaming (NCRG) to help fund future gambling research and responsible gaming programs. Since its debut eight years ago, the event has raised more than $500,000 for the NCRG.

The tournament, held last month at Anthem Country Club in Henderson, Nev., was sponsored by JCM American and the American Gaming Association (AGA).

Gaming Industry Encourages Employees, Patrons and the Public to Be Responsible. Get Educated. During Responsible Gaming Education Week

WASHINGTON—The American Gaming Association (AGA) and more than 100 casino and gaming companies across the nation are encouraging employees, patrons and the public to “Be Responsible. Get Educated.”during the ninth annual Responsible Gaming Education Week (RGEW), which begins today. The theme of this year’s event, scheduled for Aug. 7-11, expresses the gaming industry’s dedication to providing employees with thorough responsible gaming education and training throughout the year.

Gaming Industry Launches Tier II Diversity Reporting Program for Industry Vendors and Suppliers

LAS VEGAS—Representatives from the gaming entertainment industry’s 25 largest suppliers and several gaming companies were in attendance today as the American Gaming Association (AGA) and five of its largest member companies announced a new Tier II Diversity Reporting program for suppliers. The program, which will begin in early 2007, requires suppliers of participating gaming companies to submit quarterly reports detailing the amount of business they contract with minority-, women-, and disadvantaged-owned enterprises (MWDBEs).

Casinos Across the Country Plan Activities to Recognize 10th Anniversary of Responsible Gaming Education Week

WASHINGTON—The American Gaming Association (AGA), National Center for Responsible Gaming (NCRG) and more than 100 casino and gaming companies across the country are mobilizing to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the annual Responsible Gaming Education Week (RGEW), which begins today. The theme of this year’s week, Responsible Gaming: In Your Own Words, focuses on how every member of the community has a role to play in promoting responsible gaming throughout the year.

AGA Events Raise More Than $230,000 For NCRG

WASHINGTON—More than $230,000 was donated to the National Center for Responsible Gaming (NCRG) in recent months as a result of two American Gaming Association (AGA)-led fundraising programs. Providing the greatest portion of the donation was the 19th annual Gaming Hall of Fame Charity Dinner and Induction Ceremony, which this year raised more than $155,000 in support of the NCRG’s research and education initiatives.

JCM/AGA Golf Classic Raises $100,000 for Gambling Research

WASHINGTON – The 10th annual JCM/AGA Golf Classic, a gaming industry fundraising event, raised a record $100,000 for the National Center for Responsible Gaming (NCRG) to help fund problem and youth gambling research and responsible gaming education programs. Since its debut 10 years ago, the event has raised $647,000 for the NCRG.

The tournament, held last month at Reese Jones-designed Cascata in Boulder City, Nev., was jointly sponsored by JCM Global and the American Gaming Association (AGA).
