Casino Employees Nationwide Rise To The Charity Challenge

WASHINGTON – As part of an industrywide Casino Charity Challenge, more than 40 American Gaming Association (AGA) member company casino properties and offices of gaming equipment manufacturers are mobilizing to launch a week of local charitable activities aimed at reaching individual volunteerism goals. Nine U.S. gaming companies in 22 commercial-casino jurisdictions have assembled hundreds of their employee-volunteers for a wide range of community service activities during the weeklong event (May 27-June 2).

Casinos Nationwide Exceed Goals In Charity Challenge

WASHINGTON - More than 12,000 gaming employees and their companies mobilized during the first annual American Gaming Association (AGA) Casino Charity Challenge, volunteering 4,266 hours of time and contributing $250,896 to more than 40 local and national charities, including Adopt-a-Highway, American Heart Association, area battered women shelters, community fire departments, March of Dimes, local Meals on Wheels programs, Multiple Sclerosis Society, senior citizen centers and the YMCA.

AGA Encourages Employees, Public to “Logon To Learn” During Fifth Annual Responsible Gaming Education Week

WASHINGTON - The American Gaming Association (AGA) is marking its fifth annual Responsible Gaming Education Week (Aug. 5-9) by launching its first-ever interactive quiz on the AGA Web site to test employee as well as public awareness of responsible gaming and disordered gambling.

Casino Industry Launches Campaign Reminding Customers to "Keep it Fun"

WASHINGTON—Commercial casinos nationwide will launch a new campaign next week asking patrons to join in the industrywide effort to promote responsible gaming and “keep it fun.” This effort, part of the sixth annual Responsible Gaming Education Week (Aug. 4-8) organized by the American Gaming Association (AGA), is intended to heighten awareness of disordered gambling among employees, patrons and the general public.

Gaming Industry Raises More Than $185,000 From Charity Dinner Benefiting Problem Gambling Research and Education

LAS VEGAS — The gaming industry has raised $185,000 in support of research and education on disordered gambling from the 16th annual Gaming Hall of Fame Charity Dinner and Induction Ceremony to be held tonight in Las Vegas. This event, organized by the American Gaming Association (AGA), is the largest annual fund-raiser for the National Center for Responsible Gaming (NCRG).

“Keep It Fun” Awareness Wristbands Debut at Launch of Eighth Annual Responsible Gaming Education Week

LAS VEGAS— Proudly displaying new “Keep it Fun” responsible gaming awareness wristbands, gaming industry executives and employees today declared “We’re Banding Together to Keep it Fun,” to kick off the eighth annual Responsible Gaming Education Week (RGEW). Representatives from the American Gaming Association (AGA) and the National Center for Responsible Gaming (NCRG) launched the “Keep it Fun” wristband campaign at a kick-off event hosted by the Bellagio Hotel & Casino. Casinos nationwide will observe RGEW Aug. 1-5.
