American Gaming Association Announces Awards Program

WASHINGTON - The American Gaming Association (AGA) today announced the formation of the AGA Communications Awards to pay tribute to the financial and corporate communications accomplishments of gaming companies, including casinos, pari-mutuel facilities, state lotteries, as well as industry vendors and suppliers. The awards program, sponsored by Goldman, Sachs & Co., will debut Oct. 3 in Las Vegas at Global Gaming Expo (G2E), the AGA’s first annual trade show and conference for the gaming-entertainment industry.

American Gaming Association Announces Winners of Gaming Voice Award at the First Annual AGA Communications Awards

LAS VEGAS - Three gaming companies captured two awards each and Isle of Capri Casinos Chairman and CEO Bernie Goldstein was named the top performing CEO of the Year, at the first annual AGA Communications Awards luncheon, sponsored by Goldman, Sachs & Co., here today. Executives with Argosy Gaming Company and MotorCity Casino were also honored.

MGM Grand Las Vegas is Top Gaming Voice Award Winner

LAS VEGAS – MGM Grand Las Vegas received three Gaming Voice Awards, including Best in Show for print advertising, at the third annual American Gaming Association (AGA) Communications Awards Luncheon held today at the Las Vegas Convention Center.  The awards, sponsored by Goldman, Sachs & Co. with support from HVS Executive Search and Wells Fargo Bank, recognize outstanding achievement in advertising and corporate communications in the gaming industry.

AGA Announces Finalists for Fourth Annual Gaming Industry Communications Awards

WASHINGTON—The American Gaming Association (AGA) today announced finalists for the 2004 Gaming Voice Awards, recognizing outstanding achievement in advertising and corporate communications in the gaming industry.

More than 180 entries were submitted to this year’s AGA Communications Awards competition. Finalists in 11 categories — including best 2003 annual report, best publication, best print advertisement, best radio and television advertisements and best Web site — represent 23 companies and gaming organizations from around the country.

Winners of 2004 Gaming Industry Communications Awards Reflect Diversification, Expansion of Industry

LAS VEGAS—A Native American casino, riverboat property, slot manufacturer, nightclub, Canadian casino and Las Vegas casino resort are among the winners of the 2004 Gaming Voice Awards – the most diverse group of winners in the awards’ four-year history.
