Future Watch Survey Results: Experts Still See Work to be Done But SayFuture is Bright for the U.S. Gulf Coast

NEW ORLEANS – Though a full recovery is still some years off, the U.S. Gulf Coast can look forward to a successful economic future within the next decade, according to the results of a new survey of regional leaders released today at G2E Institute. The experts surveyed also assert that the gaming industry is leading the way in recovery efforts, both as a significant contributor to the overall recovery effort and as the fastest-recovering industry in the region.

Latest AGA White Paper on Casino Workforce Reveals High Level of Job Satisfaction

WAHINGTON—Good benefits, pay and opportunity are the reasons more than 85 percent of the nation’s gaming employees find their job satisfying, according to a new American Gaming Association (AGA) white paper detailing the results of a national survey of casino industry employee attitudes about their jobs and the industry.  The white paper, “A Survey of Attitudes of Casino Industry Employees,” is the latest release in the AGA’s 10th anniversary white paper series.

Latest AGA White Paper Outlines the Challenges of Estimating Social Costs of Gambling

WASHINGTON — A new white paper released today by the American Gaming Association (AGA) examines why little progress has been made in researchers’ ability to adequately identify and measure the potential costs of legalized gambling and strives to provide researchers and policymakers with an understanding of the basic problems inherent in measuring the social costs of gambling.  The white paper, “Challenges that Confront Researchers on Estimating the Social Costs of Gambling,” is the latest release in the AGA’s 10th anniversary white paper series.

American Gaming Association Releases Updated Responsible Gaming Resource

WASHINGTON – The American Gaming Association (AGA) released the third edition of its Responsible Gaming Statutes and Regulations publication today.  The updated resource contains a compilation of statutes and regulations regarding responsible gaming in the 20 commercial and racetrack casino states.

Openness Has Served Industry Well

One of the first documents we produced when we opened the doors of the American Gaming Association (AGA) was called “Myths and Facts about the Gaming Industry.”  It was a fairly lengthy document.
