AGA Taps Seasoned Political Professional to Join Government Affairs Team

WASHINGTON — The American Gaming Association (AGA) announced today it has appointed John D. Versaggi, a political professional with more than a decade of experience on Capitol Hill and in corporate government relations, as vice president of government affairs.  Versaggi’s efforts will focus on building and maintaining the strong relationships necessary to advocate on the federal legislative and regulatory issues that impact the U.S. commercial casino industry.

American Gaming Association Elects Four New Board Members

WASHINGTON - The board of directors of the American Gaming Association (AGA) recently elected four new members – Michael Leven, president and COO of Las Vegas Sands Corp.; William S. Newby, managing director and head of gaming and leisure investment banking for the Americas at UBS Investment Bank; Tim Parrott, CEO of Shuffle Master, Inc.; and Anthony Sanfilippo, president and CEO of Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc. Leven and Sanfilippo are new board members, while Parrott and Newby both previously served on the board representing different companies.
