Harrah's Entertainment, Inc.

Procurement & Construction
In this program, Harrah’s works closely with a diverse group of suppliers, contractors and other vendors, including certified minority-owned, women-owned, disabled and small business enterprises, to provide the company with goods and services. Harrah's vendors are encouraged to support diversity efforts through second-tier supplier programs. In addition, the company mentors disadvantaged businesses to help them develop into successful enterprises.

MGM MIRAGE

Diversity Online
MGM MIRAGE understands that continuing success in diversifying the vendor and supplier base is contingent upon the company’s ability to identify greater numbers of quality minority and women-owned vendors. To that effort, in 2003 the company attended more than 20 trade shows as a way of meeting new potential suppliers. A new Web site for vendors, www.mgmmiragediversity.com, was created as well, in 2002. The site is a means for potential vendors to register with MGM MIRAGE online for inclusion in the vendor database and receive information about procurement of goods and services.

Supplier Diversity Expo
MGM MIRAGE hosts a Supplier Diversity Expo in conjunction with the company’s annual diversity report meeting/presentation.
