WASHINGTON, D.C. — The American Gaming Association (AGA) today launched its website and established its official presence on the World Wide Web.
Web browsers can find the latest gaming industry updates by connecting to www.americangaming.org. AGA’s website also features links to the websites of AGA members, such as Argosy Gaming Company, Boyd Gaming Corporation, Caesars, Circus Circus Enterprises, Inc. and Grand Casinos, Inc.
The website will offer data for the media, AGA members and nonmembers, including back issues of the association’s monthly newsletter, Inside the AGA, the bi-weekly Gaming-Entertainment Update, news releases about AGA events and announcements, special AGA publications, information about the National Center for Responsible Gaming, economic studies about the gaming industry, employee profiles from AGA’s newly-launched campaign, “Putting a Face on the Industry,” speeches and regularly-updated information about gaming industry meetings and events.
“The American Gaming Association has such a positive story to tell about the gaming industry,” said Frank J. Fahrenkopf, Jr., president and CEO of the AGA. “Sharing our industry data on our newly-created website is a powerful medium to get our messages across to the media and the public and an exciting step into the future.”
“One of AGA’s most important jobs is to make sure that the gaming industry’s messages are accurately and consistently delivered,” said Fahrenkopf. “AGA’s new website gives us a greater opportunity to do just that.”
The AGA was established in June 1995 with the mission to represent the gaming-entertainment industry by addressing regulatory, legislative and educational issues. To fulfill that mission, the AGA serves as a clearinghouse for information, develops aggressive educational and advocacy programs and provides leadership in addressing industry issues of public concern.
