WASHINGTON— Today, the American Gaming Association announced the winners of its All In for Responsible Gaming Contest that it held for gaming employees nationwide in conjunction with the 15th annual Responsible Gaming Education Week (RGEW) 2012, held July 30-Aug.3.  Employees were invited to create a poster, essay or video explaining “What Responsible Gaming Means to Me.” One winner was named in each category. The winning entries, along with those selected for Honorable Mention, are available for viewing on the AGA website, www.americangaming.org/AllInContest.

Essay Winner
Amy Nakatani
Junior Engineer, Shuffle Master, Inc.
Las Vegas, Nev.

Poster Winner
Jose I. Casas
Bus Greeter, Ameristar Casino Hotel East Chicago
East Chicago, Ind.

Video Winner
Josh Sedabres
Client Systems Analyst, Argosy Casino Alton
Alton, Ill.

The contest reflects the personal nature of responsible gaming for casino and gaming employees and was one of the many activities that casinos and gaming companies across the country participated in during RGEW.  The week’s theme, “All In for Responsible Gaming,” was an extension of the AGA’s 2012 “All In” campaign highlighting the gaming industry’s corporate social responsibility efforts in the areas of philanthropy, responsible gaming, diversity and environmental sustainability.

Responsible Gaming Education Week was developed in 1998 as part of the Responsible Gaming National Education Campaign, a long-term, comprehensive program spearheaded by the AGA. RGEW is designed to heighten awareness of responsible gaming and disordered gambling among employees, patrons and the general public.
