New Video Provides Outreach to Older Americans

The Department of Gerontology at Virginia CommonwealthUniversity, in collaboration with the Virginia Center for Aging and the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services, has released a self-help video for older Americans with gambling disorders. An informational booklet is included with the video. "More Life to Live" dramatizes the true story of a senior citizen with a gambling disorder. The video describes the three phases of addiction and highlights steps one may follow during the recovery process. It also provides resources for those who may need the assistance of a support group.
