The National Center for Responsible Gaming (NCRG) recently announced the availability of the complete conference proceedings from the 5th Annual NCRG Conference on Gambling and Addiction, held last December in Las Vegas. The comprehensive CD-ROM resource includes session summaries, audio recordings, PowerPoint presentations, press clips, information about attendees and presenters, as well as other information from the event.
According to conference organizers, this new educational tool can be used to complement academic curriculum at the graduate or undergraduate level or to enhance clinical training and licensing programs. Additionally, it provides a thorough background in responsible gaming issues, programs and practical research findings appropriate for the needs of regulators, policy makers and corporate human resources executives.
"The annual NCRG Conference is a well-respected source for up-to-date research findings, the latest treatment issues and the practical information needed to create effective responsible gaming programs," said Dennis Eckart, chairman of the NCRG. "The wealth of information provided on this first-ever conference CD-ROM, while certainly not a substitute for the value of conference attendance, will prove to be an important tool for researchers, clinicians, regulators and industry executives involved in the responsible gaming community."
Thanks to generous support from Cooper Levenson, Attorneys at Law, each 2004 conference attendee received the conference proceedings earlier this spring. Copies of the CD-ROM also are available for public purchase.
NCRG donors may purchase single CD-ROMs for $75 each, or 25 copies for a discounted $1,500. Non-donors can purchase the CD-ROM for $100 per copy or $1,875 for 25 copies. Additional bulk discounts are available, and all shipping and handling fees are included. To order, or for more information, please contact the NCRG.
