At its December board of directors meeting, the NCRG established an advisory council comprised of leading experts who study or work in different aspects of the gaming industry to provide ongoing strategic counsel, and tactical and financial support to the organization.
"By establishing this advisory council, we create an opportunity to broaden our outreach to a wider array of interested individuals whose expertise and experience is important to our mission," NCRG Chairman Dennis E. Eckart said. "In addition to being a resource that can help shape the future of the organization, the advisory council provides a way for potential and retired board members to still contribute to the NCRG."
Inaugural members of the advisory board include Greg Avioli, executive vice president of the National Thoroughbred Racing Association; outgoing NCRG board member Thomas Brosig, a faculty fellow at the University College at Tulane University and co-founder of Grand Casinos; Marc Falcone, managing director of gaming, lodging and leisure equity research at Deutsche Bank Securities; Penelope Kyle, executive director of the Virginia Lottery; and Bo Bernhard, director of gambling research at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
