British Columbia Launches Web Site to Highlight New Responsible Gaming Initiative

Sunday, June 1, 2003

A new partnership involving the British Columbia government, British Columbia Lottery Corporation and the province's gaming service providers has launched a Web site as part of its commitment to promote responsible gaming practices and address problem gambling.

The new Web site, created by the British Columbia Partnership for Responsible Gambling - an initiative of the Canadian Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General, Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch - includes responsible gaming guidelines, problem gambling warning signs, myths and misconceptions, related research and institutions involved in the study of gambling, and treatment and information resources.
