Annual Golf Tournament Raises $75,000 for NCRG

Monday, May 9, 2011

The seventh annual JCM/AGA Golf Classic recently raised $75,000 for research on disordered gambling. Co-sponsored by JCM American and the American Gaming Association (AGA), the event has brought in more than $425,000 since its debut in 1999.

Held April 25 at the Revere Golf and Country Club in Henderson, Nev., the tournament featured more than 100 participants, reflecting every part of the gaming industry, from manufacturers and suppliers to operators and media.

"The breadth of our industry represented at the golf tournament is a testament to the tremendous work the NCRG is doing," said Frank J. Fahrenkopf, Jr., president and CEO of the AGA. "Over the years, the scale of this event continues to grow - as does the money raised for important research on gambling disorders. We are extremely committed to supporting these continued efforts and look forward to working in partnership with JCM to ensure this event continues to be a success."

The winning foursome represented The Bellagio and included Bill Bingham, Pat Laman, Alan Pulintini and Tyler Shook.
