In support of the industrywide commitment to responsible gaming, the American Gaming Association (AGA) has launched an interactive resource guide to help its member companies implement various provisions of the new Responsible Gaming Code of Conduct, a complete set of guidelines governing employee and customer education, underage gambling, alcohol service, advertising and research.
The AGA Responsible Gaming Code of Conduct Online Resource Guide, available only to AGA members, provides users with resources, best practices and other responsible gaming information accessible through embedded links within the text of the code. For promoting responsible gaming on the casino floor and among employees, the resource guide provides a variety of print materials, including brochures and signage. These materials are available as print-ready files formatted for immediate press printing and as customizable files for incorporating state- or company-specific rules and regulations, problem gambling help lines, and company information and logos. In addition to do-it-yourself printing, some of the finished materials can be ordered through the AGA e-store; links to specific products are provided within the resource guide. A tutorial also is available with step-by-step ordering instructions and recommended specifications for developing print-ready materials.
For nonmembers, a version of the code without resource links is available on the AGA site. Additionally, a CD-ROM of the resource guide will be available in the AGA e-store later this year.
The online resource guide, which was launched in February on the AGA Web site, will be updated periodically as new materials become available.
