Responsible Gaming Conference in Las Vegas: December 7-8

Thursday, September 1, 2005

The National Center for Responsible Gaming will convene its Sixth Annual Conference on Gambling and Addiction this December 7-8 in Las Vegas, focusing on the Reno Model. As described in a 2004 article by researchers from Australia, Canada and the United States, the Reno Model emphasizes the need for scientific research on gambling disorders, and the parallel need for gaming industry practices to apply such research to reduce gambling-related problems. Accordingly, the December program will focus on both recent research on gambling behaviors and on experiences with programs to address problem gambling. For more information, or to register for the conference visit www.ncrg.org.
