Educating Washington lawmakers about the positive role that commercial casinos play in the communities where they operate and in the national economy as a whole is a significant piece of the AGA’s legislative strategy. One way that the AGA facilitates this education process is through periodic visits by groups of gaming leaders to Washington, D.C. for high-level meetings with some of the nation’s most influential political leaders. Past industry days have seen gaming leaders meeting with House and Senate leadership, White House representatives and regulatory decision makers, as well as hosting receptions where representatives of AGA member companies had the chance with Members of Congress and key staff members.
