Ellen Field

Principal
The Cadmus Group, Inc.

Ellen Field has more than 25 years of experience in communications, marketing, strategic planning and policy development with a wide variety of government, nonprofit and private sector organizations and an extensive background in social marketing.

Cadmus is recognized for their decades of work with energy, environmental and green building communications.  At Cadmus, Ellen leads business development into the federal government’s public health sector. Previously she led Porter Novelli’s health and social marketing practice in the Washington, D.C. office and managed clients such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, the American Lung Association and the American Association of Medical Colleges.

Prior to that, Ellen was appointed as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services where she was responsible for shaping and clearing the Department’s communications campaigns. She also served as the Communications Director for the Peace Corps where she led the agency’s communications, public affairs, marketing, website, video production, materials development, graphic design and editing operations.
